DupliFind finds all your duplicate files. RAW files imported twice, the same shoot on three locations, exports you forgot to clean up.
The scan is always free. No credit card needed to start.
Sound familiar?
You are not the only one. Every photographer, designer or editor has this.
The same RAW files live on your laptop, NAS and external backup. The same 47 GB, three times over.
Your Lightroom catalog points to files you have already moved three times. And somewhere the originals are still sitting on an old drive.
logo_definitive_v12_USETHISONE.ai. And you have no idea which one is really the latest.
Or was it v13 after all?
Your NAS is full but you have no idea what is on it. Spoiler: your vacation photos are on there four times.
The payoff
On your MacBook, external drives and NAS. Give your shoots room again, without buying a bigger drive.
Open your browser and scan. No software slowing down your workflow, no account to create.
Finally know which version is the real one, across all your drives.
How it works
Built for the way creatives manage their files. Or do not.
Local drive, NAS and external drives at the same time. Anything your browser can see, DupliFind scans.
Finds files that are identical, regardless of name or location. The same RAW imported twice? Found.
Same shoot, different edit or export resolution? The Pro scanner finds those too.
Right arrow = delete, left arrow = keep. So fast through your dupes it is almost fun.
Automatically keep the highest resolution, the newest export or the largest file. You pick the rule.
No uploads, no account, no cloud. Your RAW files never leave your drive. Period.

Questions
Specifically for photographers, designers and editors.
Yes. DupliFind works at the file level: it computes a hash of the file contents, regardless of format. CR2, NEF, ARW, DNG, RAF: it does not matter. A file is a file. Exact duplicates are always found. The visual comparison (Pro) works for JPEG and PNG previews; for RAW the embedded preview is used.
Yes, as long as your NAS is mounted as a network drive on your Mac or Windows PC (via SMB or AFP) and is therefore visible in Finder or Explorer, DupliFind can scan it. You can select multiple folders at once, including a mix of local drive, NAS and external USB drives.
By default DupliFind moves duplicates to a quarantine folder (_DupliFind-Quarantaine) in your first folder instead of deleting them right away. You can restore everything as long as you have not emptied that folder yourself. In every group one copy is always kept automatically, and you see a full overview of what is going before anything happens.
For exact duplicates (free): yes, MOV, MP4, ProRes and other video formats are scanned too. A file is a file. For visual comparison (Pro), DupliFind focuses on photos; frame-by-frame video comparison is not in there yet but it is on the roadmap.
DupliFind scans the files on your drive, separate from Lightroom or Bridge. It does not touch your catalogs. You find the duplicate files, choose which ones to delete yourself and then update your catalog in Lightroom afterwards. We recommend always deleting from within Lightroom (Photo › Remove Photo from Catalog) so your catalog stays tidy.
