Privacy Policy

DupliFind respects your privacy. This policy explains which data we process, why, and how you can exercise your rights. We keep it short and concrete.

Which data do we process?

We process as little personal data as possible. This is what happens:

• The app: DupliFind reads files locally in your browser via the File System Access API. No files, file names, hashes or scan results are sent to our servers. We see nothing.
• Payment (Pro): Payments run through Mollie, a Dutch payment company. Mollie processes your payment details. For a lifetime purchase we store your email address to send your access link. Our database is hosted in the EU (Frankfurt).
• Analytics: We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly tool without cookies, hosted in the EU. Plausible does not store any personal data and does not use fingerprinting.
• Advertising: Via Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram) we show ads to new visitors. For this we place the Meta Pixel on the landing page. We do this only with your consent (cookie banner). Meta processes data as an independent controller. See Meta's privacy policy.

Legal bases for processing

• Payment data: performance of the contract (art. 6(1)(b) GDPR)
• Analytics: legitimate interest, privacy-friendly without cookies (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR)
• Meta Pixel: consent (art. 6(1)(a) GDPR)

Transfers outside the EU

Mollie (payments) and our database are hosted in the EU, so nothing leaves the EU there. Meta (advertising) is based in the US and falls under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which legally permits transfers to the US under the GDPR.

Retention periods

We keep payment confirmations for as long as legally required (at least 7 years for tax purposes). All other data is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights:

• Right of access to your personal data
• Right to rectification of inaccurate data
• Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
• Right to restriction of processing
• Right to data portability
• Right to object to processing
• Right to withdraw consent (for the Meta Pixel)

Send a request to hello@duplifind.app. We respond within 30 days. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority via autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

Cookies

DupliFind does not use analytical or tracking cookies without your consent. Plausible works cookie-free. The Meta Pixel is only loaded after consent via the cookie banner.

Changes

We may amend this policy. The most current version is always available on this page with the date of the last change.
